At Fashion Isle Smiles we use the latest in digital x-ray technology. This allows for immediate images which equates to less time in the dental chair. Our digital x-rays also provide the clearest images allowing more precise diagnostics for our dentists. Most important, the amount of radiation exposure with digital x-rays is greatly reduced when compared to the traditional films that are still used in other offices. Dental radiographs are a very important part of the examination and allow us to look at the teeth, bone and other surrounding structures. However, at Fashion Isle Smiles, we always follow the ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) rule when recommending x-rays, keeping the amount of radiation exposure minimal by taking x-rays as needed.
